ProfileTom M. McCrory III was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. He attended Baylor University in Waco, Texas and graduated in 1967 earning a B.B.A. degree. He then attended Baylor Law School graduating with a J.D. (Juris Doctorate) in 1970. He was a member of social and legal fraternities while at Baylor University. Mr. McCrory returned to Dallas where he served as general counsel to a banking institution for 10 years. Then, in 1980 he resigned to enter the private practice of law.
Mr. McCrory is licensed by the State Bar of Texas and to practice before the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas. He is a member of the Dallas Trial Lawyers Association and has served on the Dallas Bar Association Judiciary Committee, Courthouse Committee, Legal Ethics Committee and Unauthorized Practice of Law Committee (now a committee of the State Bar of Texas) over the years. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas Family Law Section. He was listed in Who's Who In American Law and holds the highest rating attainable with Martindale-Hubbell. Mr. McCrory, also, is a licensed real estate broker.
His successful legal experience includes cases involving: real estate and securities fraud (sending the perpetrators to prison and recovering most or all of the clients losses in a few cases), employee embezzlement; additionally, he has successfully recovered client's investments in cases involving breach of fiduciary duties by general partners and a bank and executors/trustees, among others; promissory notes and guarantors; custody battle involving the murder/suicide of parents; obtaining custody of a son and daughter for their father; and defending against injunction sought by City of Dallas. Mr. McCrory has been providing clients with successful, aggressive legal representation for over 25 years.
